Journal of Resilient Urbanism & Sustainable Design (JRUSD) is honoured to welcome Professor Michael West Mehaffy—Executive Director, Sustasis Foundation; Faculty Associate, Arizona State University; former Director of Education, The Prince’s Foundation—to our Advisory and Honorary Boards. A leading urbanist and design theorist, Professor Mehaffy’s work on human-scaled, resilient, and complexity-informed urbanism will strengthen JRUSD’s mission to advance sustainable cities.

  • Sustainable architecture and design
  • Environmental and landscape planning
  • Community resilience and rural development

Cultural heritage and biocultural landscapes JRUSD encourages work that bridges research and practice, especially addressing urban and rural challenges related to climate change, socio-cultural transformation, and sustainability.

  • Double-blind peer review
  • No submission or publication fees
  • Articles published under a Creative Commons (CC BY) license
  • Submissions must be original, unpublished, and in clear academic English
