Dr. Ngoc Hong Nguyen
Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Architecture – University of Science and Technology, Da Nang University, Vietnam

as a distinguished member of our Advisory and Honorary Boards.

Dr. Nguyen is a scholar and practitioner in urban planning, architecture, and sustainable design, with more than twenty years of professional and academic experience in the built environment. At the University of Science and Technology – Da Nang University, he has been engaged in teaching, research, and mentoring, while actively contributing to advancing knowledge in sustainable urbanism both in Vietnam and internationally.

His research focuses on sustainable urban form, coherent built environments, and resilient spatial planning, with particular expertise in form-based and generative codes. He has advanced the integration of planning theory, urban design practice, and innovative regulatory frameworks such as SmartCode, all directed toward shaping livable, inclusive, and environmentally responsible urban communities.

The addition of Dr. Nguyen to the JRUSD Advisory and Honorary Boards further strengthens the journal’s commitment to supporting emerging voices in urban design, promoting resilience in rapidly urbanising contexts, and fostering interdisciplinary dialogue across architecture, planning, and sustainability sciences.
